02 / How we work

One useful starting point.
A scope you understand.

A focused automation sprint starts with one real problem. We agree on what will be built and what success means before work starts.

01

Show us the work.

Walk through the task, report, or disconnected tools. We identify what needs to improve and who will use the result.

02

Agree on the build.

Define deliverables, success criteria, required access, and how we’ll check the result. Discuss additional work separately.

03

Make it useful.

Build around the way your team works and review against the agreed criteria. Any ongoing work gets its own agreed scope.

03 / Beyond a single workflow

A new product.
Or a better way to run one.

A few things to know

A clearer way
to get started.

You don’t need a technical specification to have the first conversation. Start with the work you want to improve.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Founders with a concrete software need and small teams managing repetitive work, scattered data, or disconnected tools. We first establish whether the problem, scope and budget are a good fit.

Do you need to know exactly what to build?

No. Show us the current process and what a better result would look like. We can help define a focused first project and how to evaluate it.

Will we need to replace the tools we already use?

Not necessarily. An integration, a reporting layer, or a focused workflow change may be enough. The approach depends on the existing systems and required access.

Does company AI mean training our own model?

Sometimes, but often the useful first step is connecting an existing model to approved documents or business tools. Data permissions, source quality, access controls, evaluation and human approval need to be designed around the task.

How are scope and price decided?

After understanding the problem, we agree on the deliverables, price, success criteria, required access and how the result will be checked. Additional work is discussed and agreed separately.

Can you improve an existing application?

Yes, subject to reviewing the code, ownership, access and current state. We can assess a prototype, an Access application, spreadsheet-based processes or an existing web application before agreeing on changes.

What happens after the initial build?

Any maintenance, ongoing support, or further development has separately agreed scope and terms. It is not automatically included in an initial engagement.

What’s taking more effort
than it should?

Bring a workflow, a spreadsheet, or an idea. We can talk through what would actually help.
